Via Crucis . The Passion of Christ is a cycle of works made by Fernando Botero between 2010 and 2011. In the series, consisting of 27 oils and 34 works on paper, exhibited in numerous countries including America and Europe, is represented a subject that is present in Botero's work since his childhood and youth in Colombia.
This exhibition has come to the heart of Medellin, birthplace of Botero, during the week of Passover of 2012, for the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the artist's life. The painter has decided to donate the series at the Museum of Antioquia that, from that moment, takes care of its trip around the world.
