Sister Act

For the first time cames to Teatro Brancaccio from 10 december the show SISTER ACT, the musical take from the film of 1992 with the actress Whoopi Goldberg who interpreted the unforgettable part of Deloris.
Alessandro Longobardi, is the artistic director of the historical roman theatre, after the success of RAPULZEL the Musical, he starts this new progect signed by VIOLA PRODUZIONI in collaboration with Compagnia della Rancia, to realize one of the most important shows of the season that yet have been a big success in Broadway.

Twentyfive beautiful songs written by Alan Menken, (the legendary american composer of the most famous Disney soundtracks as : "The beauty and the Beast", "The little Mermaid", "Aladdin" and so on...), that ranging from soul atmospheres, funky and music '70 years, to pop ballads in typical Broadway style, in which there are choruses and polyphonic harmonies.

Texts and lyrical songs traduced by Franco Travaglio get involved the audience into a dinamic and funny history, between gangster and nuns, with chases, plot twists, beads, paillettes and a thrilling final.
The show is directed by Saverio Marconi.
In the crowded auditions at Teatro Brancaccio during last April, there were seletionated 22 exccelent artists.
The part of Deloris, ( "Sister Maria Claretta), the whirldwind that will crush the quite life in the convent, is interpreted by Belìa Martin, yet most famous maincharacter in the spanish musical edition.

In the cast also will be the important actor and TV host Pino Strabioli who for the first time will interpret Monsignor O'Hara in the musical.

Even between the artists there is a special guest. After the big success into the italian talent show The Voice Italia and her album "Sister Cristina"produced by Universal, Suor Cristina will be Suor Maria Roberta in SISTER ACT.
