The drammatic backlight on the Foro, have clearly pictorial taste; Ripetta and the river still without stems, two slackers set down under the sun which light up the streets of Lungotevere; the Triton 's fountain during the winter with ice beard; Pio IX enthrouned with the court, all a bit bored… This is the Rome of the last papal reign, beautiful and desolate, city was penetrated by countryside with flocks still under the Campidoglio. It is the Silvio Negro and Valerio Cianfarani's photography collections of Rome, exposed in Palazzo Braschi (into ground floor rooms, entry from piazza Navona 2 and from piazza San Pantaleo 10), from 14 October to 28 Febrary 2016, called The Enchantment Of Photography.
This special collaboration between the Museo di Roma and Palazzo Braschi about roman photography last decades. The collboration was born in 1953 with a first big exhibition and it is continued with important expositions about daguerreotypes and photos on plate. Thanks to this cooperation is born a school of hystorical reserach about photography and the conservation of the old pictures, it is possible also thanks to the donations and collections.
