On display rare archival documents, paintings, engravings, sculptures and unpublished archaeological finds to narrate the urban transformation of the Capitol

The exhibition contains six main sections. The mythical and romantic view. The Caffarelli and the Prussiani with their properties. The proclamation of Rome as Capital and the new role of the Capitol. The activities of the Governorate. The archaeological research. Through archival and historical artistic works, the recent history of this part of the Capitol is told, with also a special section dedidated to recent archaeological discoveries that have enabled us to reconstruct the oldest decoration of the temple of Jupiter
